Le Manoir has been set out to provide a relaxing and comfortable stay with all the essentials provided and the owners are on hand to provide any further help and assistance as required. The local village shop is a mere 200-metre walk and supermarkets are a 10-minute drive away.
What a perfect place you have here, and for a holiday with 3 families we were all comfortable - enough space for communal activities and plenty of space for privacy. PP Nov 2023
For the last 15 years I have travelled over 180 days a year (that's 2700 nights). I have stayed everywhere from the Waldorf Astoria and Ritz to 1 star on Greek Islands. This was head and shoulders my best experience. The place is great, everything the website said and more, but it is the hosts, Simon & Nicholas that stood it apart. MH 2019

I had high expectations of Le Manoir after reading the reviews and the description - but they were far and away exceeded. From the moment we arrived until Simon and Nicholas waved us goodbye at the end of the week, they were excellent hosts - discrete but available whenever we needed their help or advice. AY 2019

Le Manoir is one of the most special places my family and I have stayed. The chateau is beautiful inside and out with impressive gardens. It was wonderful to be able to use the some of the home grown veg in our cooking and enjoyed several games of cricket, croquet and volleyball! We lived beside the pool and could not have asked for more in terms of facilities. SD 2019

There is lots to do in the area which is largely not full of tourists even in the summer months (a great change from the Dordogne proper which we found busy, crowded and over-rated).The local store is perfect with fresh bread and pain aux raisin and supplies of almost everything. Local visits include Thiviers, Perigueux and the beautiful villages of Excideuil and Saint Jean de Cole. Lots of places to eat, castles to visit and gardens to see. Highly, highly recommended. Das Manoir lässt keine Wünsche offen: mit großer Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, wie ein Schloss, doch gleichzeitig mit modernem Komfort. Ein freundlicher Empfang, mehrere Sträuße frischer Blumen und ein gut gefüllter Präsentkorb sowie frisches Brot und frische Eier - wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Terms & Conditions
All prices are quoted in € per week occupied and are guaranteed once confirmed [receipt of the deposit and signed booking form]. Prices include VAT at 10% and Local Taxes.
Provisional bookings will be held for seven working days awaiting written confirmation and deposit from the hirer.
A deposit of 20% is payable on confirmation of the booking. This is non-returnable unless cancellation is either more than 6 months before the holiday start date, or the week can be re-let, or an alternative week can be arranged, or there is a change of ownership at Le Manoir or is a direct result of travel restrictions caused by COVID-19.
Balance of payment is requested by one week before the start of the holiday, or immediately if the booking is made within 14 days of the start date. This is non-refundable unless the week can be re-let or an alternative week can be arranged.
The number of people allowed to sleep in the house is limited to twelve people plus 2 babies. Any breach of this condition without prior arrangement will lead to the termination of the hire without refund. Should additional guests be approved a surcharge rate will be agreed with the hirer.
It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed.
In the interests of other guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house.
There are no extra charges for heating, electricity, gas or fuel.
The hirer is requested to leave the house reasonably tidy on departure but is not expected to clean it – it is your holiday.
The pool is heated in High and Peak seasons. Outside these seasons use of the pool and water temperature cannot be guaranteed and if pool heating is requested there will be an additional charge of €50.00 per day.
The pool area is fenced with access through a child-proof gate. This gate is to remain closed unless a responsible adult is supervising the pool area.
When in use, the pool area will be cleaned daily between 0700-0830 and is not available to guests without prior consultation with the owners.
Running in the vicinity of and diving into the pool are not permitted. Glass is not permitted in the pool area.
Guests should note that due to the rural location Wi-Fi is occasionally interrupted particularly during thunderstorms.
Unless otherwise agreed, the hire is from 4.00pm (any time after) on the start date to 10.00am on the departure date.
The hirer is expected to take every reasonable care of the house and its contents, ensuring that the house is secure when left vacant. The hirer is responsible for the security and safety of the hirer’s own property.
The hirer may be asked to pay for damage caused to the house or its contents, but not for minor accidental breakages.
