Our guests come here for a whole host of reasons, be it a family holiday, attending a wedding at the nearby Chateau Durantie or a group of friends celebrating a milestone event and we aim to provide that additional level of service to make your stay with us particularly memorable. A generous welcome pack covering all the basics, access to fruit and vegetables from the garden, fresh flowers, luxury bedding, fans in the bedrooms, pool towels, hairdryers and toiletries all come as standard and the owners on hand to provide that all important local knowledge. Additionally guests can add optional extras such as calling upon a chef to prepare and serve a sumptuous meal at Le Manoir, wine tasting the local Bergerac wines, the provision of a selection of wines at cost and the hiring top quality bicycles to tour the spectacular countryside. For those looking to make the most of the relaxing environment, yoga classes and massage sessions can be arranged at Le Manoir, please ask for details.
Welcome Basket
We believe that a generous welcome basket is always appreciated after a day of travelling, from the basics including flour, sugar, herbs, stock cubes, to tea and coffee, local jam and bread, olive and cooking oil, milk, butter, vinegar, eggs and seasonal vegatables from our garden and finally sparkling water, wine and beer; we think that we have most bases covered. However, if you ever find yourself short of that vital ingredient, we are next door and will happily provide it if we have some to hand. To add to the home comforts, we also provide fresh cut garden flowers in the main rooms.
Dining at Le Manoir
Many of our guests who visit Le Manoir are here to celebrate a significant family event such as an anniverasary, graduation or birthday and make use of our local chefs Jean-Michel along with his wife Aline or Suzanne Ponsonby. They offer a wide menu choice and are happy to provide a memorable dining experience here in these luxury surroundings.
Alternatively for very good quality home cooked meals, buffet for arrival, cakes or grocery shopping etc, Sandra Wright is ideally placed to help. If you would like to discuss the services that she is able to provide please contact her via email: essandee@wanadoo.fr.

Wine & Wine-tasting at Le Manoir
We offer a selection of local Bergerac wines for sale at Le Manoir to ensure that you never run short. We have white, rose and red wines that match the local foods and surroundings. Further, we too can offer on request an informal wine event and take you on a tasting journey of the Bergerac wine region with wines that compare very favourably with its more illustrious neighbour, Bordeaux.
Cycling at Le Manoir
Le Manoir is surrounded by miles of open countryside, quiet roads and cross-country cycle paths waiting to be explored. A local French cyclist, who also specialises in off road bike instruction, has just started a bike hire business in Excideuil. They have some very good off road, hybrid bikes and e-bikes (the latter are brilliant and take the pain out of the more challenging hills around here!). They will deliver the bikes and safety equipment to Le Manoir on request. (Note: if the hire is for more than 2 days, delivery is free). Their website is www.feelout.fr.
